To be honest, I hadn’t planned on hating my soulmate. 

I hadn’t even known I had a soulmate for nineteen years of my life, but even when he found me, I thought we’d live happily-ever-after, run into the sunset in a field of flowers. 

But then I discovered I hated his very guts.

Oh, don’t worry, the feeling was mutual. 

If we didn’t have the soulmate connection, I would have gladly avoided him for the rest of my life. Except, we were two-halves-of-the-same-soul, born-to-be-together and all that. 

We were connected, and it wasn’t a theoretical thing. There was some kind of magical brain connection between us, and it drew us together.
